What emotions does the art invoke?
"It makes me really think of a mermaid. A very beutiful one indeed. It is easy to get the feeling since I can see a seahorse and the shell on her clothes. Plus the clothes looks like fish scales. It makes me think of fairytales and adventures. Makes me think of when I was a kid, thinking that mermaids was the sweetest and most beautifull creatures on the planet, and then I grew up and discovered they actually have rumors for drowning people and have a heart cold as stone. They don´t feel. Funny how the world can be made up side down and change over time."

How do you find the composition of the above piece?
"I think the composition is spot on. But if I had been you I would have asked myself if I should have created more seahorses in the background, because that really could have lifted this painting to the next level."

Would you consider the above piece of work as unique?
"Absolutely. I even think people would stop up to look at this picture if you putted it out between a lot of paintings."

Do you think the above piece justifies the subject well?
"I certainly do. It is clearly that this is a mermaid, and I really understand why your friend loved it."

Do you think the artist has used the right medium in the above piece?
"Absolutely. You are a really talented painter. Specially the face is simply amazing!"

If there is anything that you would change about the above piece what would it be?
"Well I have already talked about the background. But there is one more thing or two you should think about. I can tell you some places has painted the hair before the background. Because I can see white lines at the top because you wouldn´t destroy the hair. I get it. But next time. Paint the background first, and then the hair. It will look nicer and make your life easier Another thing you should think of is your hair. Some places it is panted perfectly like in the front at the side of her face. Stunningly actually! And then a little above it is pure red. That dowsn´t look great, and the hair at the top looks flat. To make it more tredimential you need to work with the light against the dark. And putting some other colors into it than only brown shades, I actually think a very dark purple in very thin lines would have done the trick. But overall you should just speed down when you do the hair. Because you are not far away in my opinion to be able to reacieve a DD here at Deviant art."

Artist Comments: "A really impressive painting. For me this artist is way over average in her potentiale. But she still have a way to go to become a master. My suggestion is to take a little more time when she paint, and make her pantings spotless. I am sure one day in the future this artist will get a DD here at Deviant art."
